The PGA Tour season has come to a close, and while we’ll see Collin Morikawa suit up for the President’s Cup, we have our eyes set on defending the SoFi Cup in the 2027 season of TGL presented by SoFi.
In the September edition of the LAGC Monthly, we’ll see how our guys finished the season, take notice of what’s happening in the SoCal golf scene, and look ahead to the events coming up.

LAGC at East Lake
Tommy Fleetwood came to defend his title, while Justin Rose and Collin Morikawa aimed to add their names to the history books (Rose for the second time).
Alas, Scottie Scheffler outlasted the world’s best field to be crowned the TOUR Champion and FedExCup Champion. As much as we would’ve loved for it to be one of us, it was well-earned after a year of impeccable play from the world No. 1.
The Loop - Exploring SoCal’s beloved local tracks
The Loop is a series where our very own Ube Wolf travels to local favorites and gives us a flavor of what that course has to offer, why people love it, and what makes it unique.
Opened in 1928, Chester Washington Golf Course houses some special history. It was the first racially integrated golf course in LA County, and it hosted professional championships for years back in the 50s, 60s, and 70s — the tournament legacy continues through the APGA Tour.
Now? You can walk it for less than $50. Add a cart, and you’re just north of $60. Not bad for 18 holes in Southern California.

The season has come to a close, and it’s no surprise that each LAGC member had their own incredible years. Here’s how our guys fared after the 2026 season:
FedExCup Final Position: T-14
Official World Golf Ranking: 11
2026 PGA Tour Money: $9,994,628
Notable stat: Morikawa ranks #4 on Tour in Strokes Gained (approach) this season, at 0.664 — he was deadly with his irons into the green all year long.
FedExCup Final Position: T-18
Official World Golf Ranking: 15
2026 PGA Tour Money: $5,620,356
Notable stat: Justin Rose was 2nd on Tour in strokes gained when approaching from 100-125 yards out of the rough. Basically, give this guy a wedge in, and he was as dangerous as anyone.
FedExCup Final Position: T-11
Official World Golf Ranking: 8
2026 PGA Tour Money: $7,714,605
Notable stat: Tommy ranked #3 in SG (around the green). Whether with his putter or his crafty wedge shots, he could get it close to the hole. Not to mention he ranked #1 on Tour in Scrambling from the Rough — you can never count him out even if he’s out of position.
FedExCup Final Position: 48
Official World Golf Ranking: 85
2026 PGA Tour Money: $3,274,448
Notable stat: Theegala ranks #1 on Tour for total hole-outs, with 29 on the season. We’ve kept this as his notable stat most of the last few months, but we’ve just had to keep adding to the number, as he’s kept chipping in.
