Los Angeles Golf Club begins the title defense with a new addition to the roster and a season full of must-see matchups. Preview the schedule and opponents ahead of the 2027 season.
The 2027 season is upon us, and LAGC brings in Ben James to join veterans Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, Collin Morikawa, and Sahith Theegala.
LAGC’s title defense begins December 27 at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT on ABC. Here’s who we have on deck:
Dec 27: Jupiter Links Golf Club
After losing the first match of the season, LAGC had their “get-right” match against Jupiter Links, winning 8-4. We saw some epic play, including Justin Rose’s albatross from 220+ yards out — to this day, this is the only albatross the league has seen.
Then, LAGC met Jupiter Links in the SoFi Cup Finals, where LAGC strung together two straight wins to sweep the best-of-three series.
Jupiter will have that taste in their mouths. They saw the confetti drop, but it wasn’t their colors. This whole season will feel like a revenge tour.
Jan 17 or Jan 18: New York Golf Club
In the opening match of the season, LAGC takes on New York Golf Club. The classic Los Angeles vs. New York battle the sports world has come to know and love.
They didn’t meet until the final week of last year’s regular season, and it was an exclamation mark for LAGC that sent them into the playoffs with momentum, and an unfortunate outing for NYGC that meant the end of the road for their 2026 campaign.
Both teams want to start 1-0, only one will prevail. NYGC adds Matt Fitzpatrick’s brother Alex, who had an incredible rookie season on Tour after earning his way on with a win at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
Feb 22: Motor City Golf Club
Motor City Golf Club enters their inaugural season with a compelling cast of characters, highlighted by 5-time major champion Brooks Koepka and PGA Tour rookie phenom Jackson Koivun.
There's no history between LAGC and Motor City as it stands today, but that all changes on February 22 when they go head to head.
Expansion teams across leagues tend to have success early, and Motor City’s roster is must-see TV.
Feb 23: Atlanta Drive GC
Atlanta Drive GC has looked the part in both TGL presented by SoFi seasons, winning the SoFi Cup in the inaugural season, and finishing last year’s regular season in 3rd, just behind LAGC.
And it was LAGC who knocked them out of the first round of the playoffs (to go 2-0 against them on the season), so Atlanta will have revenge on their mind, looking to get back to the top spot.
LAGC seemed to be Atlanta's kryptonite last season, and only time will tell if that trend continues.
