Streets to the Greens

Celebrating our Day 1s in the Community

Streets to the Greens is a series where we highlight those in the LA community making the most out of what golf has given them.

This week, we shout out Tiana Le — musician, actress, golfer.

She’s a woman of many talents. The pursuit of greatness for her might look a little different across each craft, but her mindset for each remains the same.

“In all things, you need a willingness to try, to fail, and to be humble enough to recognize that whatever magic you have today, you might not have tomorrow.”

There may be no truer saying of golf. Check out our other Streets to the Greens features:

There are a lot of local LA legends stepping into the world of golf in their own unique way. Who should we celebrate next?

Presidents Cup & Solheim Cup

Collin Morikawa and Alison Lee Represent Team USA

Collin Morikawa went 2-2 at this year’s Presidents Cup, including a 1-up win over Hideki Matsuyama (Boston Common Golf). The U.S. came back to win with an electric 9.5 point Sunday showcase.

In the Solheim Cup, Alison Lee went 4-0, including the biggest comeback in the Solheim Cup’s history. Down 4, through 11 holes, Lee came back to win her singles point for the U.S. team. Despite her perfect record, Team U.S. fell to Team Europe 15-13.

Team Theegala Fundraises for Nepal

Supporting American Red-Cross Relief for Nepal Flood Victims

Sahith Theegala’s family, better known as Team Theegala, put together a charity golf tournament to benefit families and communities affected by the flooding in Nepal.

While Sahith is a California native, his parents immigrated from India, just south of Nepal. We’re grateful for the Theegalas stepping up in a time where so many families are in need.
